01.
When Branded approached me, I was genuinely honoured. After years of offering print-on-demand services, they were finally ready to evolve — launching a new business supplying the blank clothing their customers relied on. It was the perfect next step for their brand… but also a huge leap. This wasn’t just about building a shop; it was about building the foundation of a new business model.
02. The Challenge
Branded needed an e-commerce website with advanced functionality. At the core was a bulk order system — a dynamic table that could calculate totals based on quantities and variant combinations, applying progressive discounts at key thresholds (1,000 units, 5,000 units, etc).
The product catalogue at launch was limited, so we had to get creative — making the site feel full and professional despite the small SKU count. On top of that, because Branded serves other businesses, the site had to convey precision and consistency, helping buyers make high-volume purchasing decisions without ever seeing the product in person.
03. The Solution
I built Branded a minimal, almost utilitarian website that aligns with their clean, product-first aesthetic. The entire design is focused on clarity, scale, and ease of use — letting the garments take centre stage.
We developed a custom-coded bulk order solution, including a tiered pricing model and support for multiple variants in one order. To make category pages feel fuller, I implemented a plugin that displays all available colour variants directly on the collection page — an elegant workaround that gave the impression of a much larger catalogue.
Each item features a bank of high-resolution product images, which I transformed into a lightweight stop-motion-style sequence, creating the effect of rotating models. This helped communicate fit, texture, and form in a dynamic and engaging way.
Branded continues to grow and evolve — and to this day, it remains one of the most technically challenging and creatively rewarding projects I’ve taken on.
